Glycereth-26 is a polyethylene glycol ether of glycerin produced by ethoxylation of glycerin with approximately 26 moles of ethylene oxide. It is a clear, viscous, water-soluble liquid that functions as a humectant, solvent, and viscosity reducer in cosmetic formulations. Its high water solubility and low irritation profile make it suitable for facial mists, serums, toners, and leave-on skincare. It enhances moisture retention and improves skin feel without greasiness. As an ethoxylated material, it is technically a mixture of oligomers centered around 26 EO units.
