Sodium Gluconate (CAS 527-07-1) is a sodium salt of gluconic acid that functions as a chelating agent and emollient in industrial applications. This water-soluble compound provides effective sequestration of metal ions and emolliency properties for formulations in beauty & personal care, food & beverage, HI&I cleaning, and water treatment industries. The material exhibits high water solubility with a density of 1.8 g/cm³ and decomposes at 196-198°C rather than boiling under normal atmospheric pressure.
