Full Description

Isododecane is a branched C12 isoparaffin hydrocarbon. It is a clear, colorless, volatile liquid with low viscosity and fast evaporation. Widely used in cosmetics as a volatile carrier solvent for long-wear foundations, lipsticks, waterproof mascaras, and other color cosmetics. Its non-polar character and silicone compatibility make it an effective alternative to cyclopentasiloxane in formulations where silicone-free claims are desired. Leaves a dry, non-greasy skin feel. Also used in industrial adhesive and aerosol systems.
